Spring updates!

I'm thrilled to bring so much good news to this little corner of the Internet today. Good news isn't so easy to come by these days, and I feel so grateful for all I have to share.
Here are the highlights:
  • I successfully finished, submitted, and defended my dissertation, Locating Popular Cinema: The Geopolitics of Transnational Film Practices, which means:
  • I am officially Dr. Danielle B. Schwartz, PhD
  • I got a job! In August 2021, I begin my new position as Assistant Professor of English/Film Studies at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. Thus:
  • We (me, Alex, and all the pets/plants) are moving to Winona, MN July 1st!
It's been a long and, at times, bumpy road, but I'm thrilled to experience the immense gratitude and joy of following through with what I started seven years ago when I began my MA. I also feel incredibly lucky to continue to have the most amazing support system--between my family, friends, colleagues, and mentors...I am so indebted to you all.

Next stop: Winona, book proposal, four (!) new preps, and the next chapter for our family.

I hope you'll stick around for all to come.
